My Old School

Img_0293_2
My former Junior High School, uninhabitable as a school, is being rented out as apartments. How weird would it be to live in your Junior High?  If, on the other hand,  living there didn't constantly make you afraid that someone was going to knock your books out of your hand--while exclaimng "Score!" –or take your french fries,  the building is kind of cool.

A friend of mine, who was a year behind me in school and has been teaching at WSU for a few years, has been living in the West Building (the old High School), which is where all the sixth grade classrooms were when they moved them all up from the elementary schools. Apparently the apartments are pretty nice, and they retained some of the character of the building as a school with the interior decor.

Oh, this is hilarious! I couldn't do this.

Can I just say I appreciate the Steely Dan reference in your entry title?

I should have used the full line . . . "and I'm never going back to my old school."
